Join The Tersus Team as a Fire Risk Assessor with Tier 2 experience
Salary: £48,000 per year with car allowance
Location: The ideal person will be located in North London, but we are also open to nearby locations if you are willing to travel.
We are passionate about promoting safety and compliance in a variety of environments, and we are looking for someone with your expertise to help us do just that. In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to make a real difference, conducting essential fire safety risk assessments. Ideally, you will be based in London, Essex, Hertfordshire, Kent, or Surrey. The role is paying up to £48,000 plus car allowance.

Your Responsibilities Will Include
1. Conduct fire safety risk assessments in line with the latest regulations.
2. Produce clear and actionable reports that guide clients towards compliance.
3. Engage with clients and stakeholders, explaining findings and recommendations with clarity and confidence.
4. Stay ahead of changes in fire safety legislation and industry best practices, ensuring our advice is always the best available.
5. Collaborate with team members to enhance our services and share knowledge.
What We’re Looking For:
1. A degree or qualification in Fire Engineering or Fire Safety.
2. Registered with the IFSM, Tier 2 or similar competency scheme.
3. At least 2 years experience as a fire risk assessor.
4. Experience with compartmentation and/or door inspections desirable but not essential as training will be given.
5. Proven experience in conducting fire risk assessments.
6. Strong understanding of current fire safety regulations and legislation.
7. Exceptional communication skills — the ability to engage and inform clients with ease.
8. A proactive, problem-solving mindset that helps you identify potential hazards swiftly.
9. A valid driving license, as this role involves visiting various sites.
