Job Summary
We are a well-established Out of School Club covering the Heanor area, offering breakfast, afterschool, and school holiday care. We are seeking a dedicated and nurturing Childcare Provider to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and a strong understanding of early childhood education principles. This role involves providing a safe, stimulating, and engaging environment for children, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met. The Childcare Provider will work closely with children to promote their development through play and educational activities.
Responsibilities
* Supervise and engage with children in a safe and caring environment.
* Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development.
* Communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff to ensure a collaborative approach to childcare.
* Manage daily routines including meal times and playtime.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the setting area.
* Observe and assess children's progress, providing feedback to parents as necessary.
* Foster positive relationships with children to support their emotional well-being.
* Drive children to and from school and activities.
Skills
* Proven experience in childcare or early childhood education would be advantageous but not essential.
* Strong communication skills in English to effectively interact with children and parents.
* Ability to manage groups of children while maintaining a calm and positive atmosphere.
* Leadership qualities to guide activities and support children's learning experiences.
* Knowledge of nursery practices and child development principles would be advantageous but not essential.
* Experience working with children of various ages is highly desirable but not essential.
