We are working with a school in Ware that are looking to bring on an SEN Teaching Assistant to work primarily with Primary age students in classroom, one to one and small group scenarios. This opportunity is a full time and temporary to permanent role for the right person.
The successful candidate will work to support SEN students in the classroom, assisting them with understanding tasks and instructions and ensuring regular classroom teacher can deliver lessons without interruption.
Candidate requirements for the role:
• Experience working with SEN and SEMH young people e.g. classroom, mentoring, tutoring, sports coaching, youth work
• Experience supporting young people from residential care or youth work backgrounds e.g. youth work, support, work, volunteering
• Degree educated in subjects such as Maths, English, Physical Education, Psychology would be ideal and beneficial
• Child workforce DBS certificate on the update service/ candidate is eligible and willing to apply for one
• Suitable employment-based references with no safeguarding concerns or disciplinary issues attached

• Providing in class support to SEN, SEMH and other vulnerable students in classroom scenarios
• Providing 1-1 and small group academic intervention and pastoral support to raise attainment, self-esteem and inclusion
• Join a dedicated team of support staff, SEN coordinators and school senior leadership dedicated to student welfare

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
