About the role
WRS Insurance, part of Benefact Group, is looking for a New Business focused Account Executive to join our Colchester office.
The core aim of the role is to secure new business, generate revenue, and develop the profitability of the business while ensuring full FCA compliance in all aspects of commercial insurance.
The successful candidate will be a seasoned specialist in commercial insurance, responsible for handling new business with customers directly and supporting the team leader in preparing quotations for larger clients.

Key responsibilities
* Actively secure new business by searching our panel of insurers to ensure the client is presented with the most suitable and cost-effective cover.
* Support the New Business team when required.
* Develop and maintain professional working relationships with all clients, providing expert product advice and guidance.
* Ensure accuracy, efficiency, and professionalism when dealing with both clients and insurers and conducting related administrative work.
* Ensure all business activity fully complies with FCA regulation and company procedures as detailed in the Conduct Policies and Guides to Best Practice.
* Handle any complaints in accordance with regulation, the Company’s Conduct Policy, and Guide to Best Practice.
* Conduct learning, training, and assessment exercises in accordance with the individual T&C scheme applicable to you.
* Achieve and maintain a high level of customer service and promote exceptional customer care standards at all times.
* Ensure compliance with the Individual Conduct rules and Conduct policies.
* Ensure all other company practices and procedures are followed and adhered to.
* Where appropriate, take responsibility for meeting the reporting requirements of the FCA.
* Ensure all Key Performance Indicators are achieved compliantly with FCA regulation.
* Develop and maintain effective relationships with insurers and underwriters for the benefit of the company and its clients.
* Ensure personal data (client and employee) is secure and properly utilized in accordance with the principles of the Data Protection Act (2018) and Company policies.
* Prioritize all client communication and ensure it is actioned in a timely manner and in accordance with company procedures.
* Maintain all computer and paper files in accordance with company standards (fully compliant with FCA).
Knowledge, skills and experience
* Working knowledge of most commercial insurance products.
* Experience working as an Account Handler/Executive in a similar broking environment (desirable).
* Experience of working to high standards of FCA compliance.
* Attention to detail.
* Ability to build strong relationships with clients, insurers, etc.
* Requirement for Cert CII, with support to attain provided.
