Job Description:
As an English and Maths KS3 SEN Tutor, you will be responsible for providing specialised support to Key Stage 3 students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in the subjects of English and Maths. Your primary focus will be on tailoring teaching methods to meet the individual needs of each student and helping them achieve their academic goals.
Job Duties:
* Develop and implement personalised learning plans for students with SEN in English and Maths
* Deliver engaging and interactive lessons to support students' understanding and progress
* Assess students' abilities and adjust teaching strategies accordingly
* Provide feedback to students and parents on progress and areas for improvement
* Collaborate with school staff and SEN coordinators to ensure effective support for students
Required Qualifications:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* Experience working with students with SEN
* Strong knowledge of the KS3 English and Maths curriculum
Education, Experience, Knowledge and Skills:
* Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant field
* Demonstrated experience in teaching English and Maths at the KS3 level
* Understanding of different learning styles and ability to adapt teaching methods
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications:
* Additional training in Special Educational Needs (SEN)
* Experience using assistive technology to support learning
* Previous experience working in a SEN setting
Working Conditions:
This role is based in Wickford, Essex, within a learners home or local library. The position is part-time, with flexible hours to accommodate student schedules. You will work closely with school staff and SEN coordinators to provide the best possible support to students with SEN.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
