Job summary Domestic Abuse and Multi Agency Risk Assessment Conference (MARAC) Lead. We are looking for a dynamic, self- motivated and creative person to join our safeguarding team, with the remit of Domestic Abuse and MARAC lead for the Trust. Applicants will hold a professional qualification and will be registered with the relevant regulatory body. In addition, applicants should be educated to degree level or have the equivalent demonstrable experience and knowledge. Applicants must have an up to date knowledge of local safeguarding children and adult processes and will need to have an awareness of the key issues related to domestic abuse and "think family" principles. Experience of attending multi agency safeguarding and domestic abuse meetings, writing complex reports and facilitating training are all essential criteria for the post. In addition the post holder will need excellent communication and organisational skills and will need to be able to work autonomously and at any location across the trust. Main duties of the job The post holder will: Act as the RDASH representative at the MARAC meetings within the Trust service areas. Collate information and link with the relevant internal services in respect of Multi Agency Domestic Abuse (MADA) meeting requests. Represent the Trust at the Domestic Abuse strategy / steering groups in Trust services areas (North Lincolnshire, Doncaster and Rotherham). Support in the delivery of domestic abuse and other safeguarding training to RDASH staff. Provide specialist advice and guidance relating to domestic abuse. Take a lead role on the domestic abuse audit and analysis of its data. Support the safeguarding team in the execution of statutory, regulatory and organisational responsibilities to safeguard adults and children. Provide support and guidance to staff who are victims/perpetrators of domestic abuse. Routinely review and update the RDASH domestic abuse policy in line with national and local guidance and suggest changes to working practices within the Trust/Directorates based on this review. Contribute to the preparation of Domestic Homicide Review (DHR) reports and attendance at DHR panel meetings. Ensure any recommendations from DHR`s are embedded into frontline practice and training materials.
