Purpose To lead & coordinate the development of the global market access strategy and support the local market access colleagues in adapting and deploying the strategic plan locally, as well as building global market access capabilities. To provide expert guidance across the organisation in matters of market access and work closely with Health Economics and Outcomes Research colleagues on producing pharmacoeconomic deliverables. Responsibilities include : Market Access capabilities - Drive the building of Market Access capabilities across the organisation at both global and local level. Support the local Market Access team with adaptation and localisation of the global Market Access strategy and. Provide training to local Market Access teams on payer relevant materials and challenge local Market Access plans in order to optimise local access strategies Market access materials development: In cooperation with HEOR and local market access colleagues, lead the development of key market access materials. This includes, although not limited to, global value dossier, formulary pack, payer objection handler and HTA dossiers. Furthermore ensure pharmacoeconomic deliverables are focused on supporting the payer value proposition and account for local variation where possible In-licensing: Provide expert market access guidance on in-licensing opportunities including market access scenarios, payer relevant clinical development and pricing. Project management & Budgeting: Directs construct of Global Market Access plans, ensuring tactics are correctly budgeted for & phased over the year. Enables colleagues to fill evidence gaps (evidence generation) and develop/update relevant materials. HTA and Market Access Knowledge and Expertise : Detailed understanding of systems, structures and cross-border differences. Strong awareness of HTA value assessments principles. Can coordinate and manage cross-functional requirements and anticipate specific needs through development. A “go to” for specific technical expertise. Identifies key risks, opportunities, interpret and synthesise key reports/publications to highlight pertinent points cross-functionally Internal value architect: Directs value evidence planning across assets. Develops and implements early advice strategies, HTA & value strategy plans. Coordinates cross-functionally and directs requirements across internal and external partners. External stakeholder engagement: Can identify, differentiate and engage a variety of key payer stakeholders and network above country/across Regions. A valued partner to global influencers and stakeholders, able to understand payer needs. Develops strategy for horizon scanning. Supports local P&R negotiations and advocates for policy positions. Qualifications Pharmacoeconomic or Economics degree qualified 5 -10 years or market access experience with significant recent International experience Experience of launching anti-infectives brands and or orphan products is preferred.
