We are looking for a Sales Associate to join our Sales Team covering East Anglia West and surrounding areas, supporting sales of our Trauma Portfolio across the region.
Working closely with an experienced Sales team, you will develop and foster strong relationships with key opinion leaders. You will take an active part in customer education in the field, supporting the region to achieve greater customer engagement and commercial success. You will actively pursue business opportunities to grow Stryker business in targeted accounts, and always display exemplary customer service and patient focus.
Key tasks:
1. Develop the skills required to become an effective sales representative.
2. Learn and practice the techniques required to grow the volume of a defined territory through sales of Trauma products.
3. Manage business in accounts within an existing sales territory and become responsible for the day-to-day running of key accounts.
4. Become proficient in dealing with stock issues, instrument requirements, organizing loan kits, organizing and carrying out regular customer training, and providing guidance on orthopaedic surgery in a hospital theatre environment.
5. Support other sales managers to allow them to concentrate on new business acquisition and new account development.
Essentially this is a training role with a view to becoming a full-time Sales Representative with independent targets and business objectives.
In this role, you will be supporting all Trauma related products: Stryker Trauma Products
Key activities & accountabilities:
1. Learn the skills required to manage a territory effectively and grow business in line with Regional sales objectives.
2. Implement training sessions and workshops on the use of Stryker Trauma products, delivering these sessions to nurses, theatre practitioners, and surgeons.
3. Understand customers’ needs and identify opportunities to promote and sell Stryker’s products. Training will be provided on basic selling, presenting, and negotiation techniques.
4. Provide customer service to an existing customer base within the theatre and clinical environment, responding promptly to requests from customers in specific hospitals and building relationships with key personnel.
5. Appreciate that the provision of appropriate medical care for the patient is of paramount importance and prioritize recommending only appropriate products.
6. Work closely with other Sales team members and the Regional Business Manager to ensure best-in-class customer service levels across the region. Attend surgeon training meetings and educational conferences.
7. Demonstrate outstanding ethics at all times, treating customers and other employees with respect, and representing Stryker positively.
8. Conduct trials and evaluations of products in the theatre and clinical environment as required.
9. Record details of customers and maintain a basic business plan highlighting daily, weekly, and monthly objectives, developing skills needed to prioritize where to allocate time and resources and how to grow business.
What you need?
1. Science or business-based educational background or relevant experience.
2. Sales, business, or clinical experience would be advantageous.
3. Commercial acumen and an interest or experience in dealing with customers.
4. Computer skills, particularly in MS Office.
5. Presentation skills with modern presentation media.
6. An interest in anatomy and physiology.
7. A background demonstrating the ability to engage with others, influence, motivate, and work hard.
8. A demonstrated high achiever who loves to learn and take on challenges.
9. A valid UK driver's license.
