Job Title: Industrial Relations Assistant
Location: 100% Site Based
NRL are currently looking for an Industrial Relations Assistant to work with one of our leading clients on a New Build Powerstation in the Bridgwater area. This position is ideal for someone with a background in HR seeking to develop and establish themselves in the field of industrial relations. The Industrial Relations Assistant (IR Assistant) will support the site-based Industrial Relations Manager (IR Manager) in all IR and HR matters on-site.
Job Description:
Tasks & Responsibilities:
IR Administration:
1. Arrange and participate in monthly IR local joint council meetings, including taking minutes.
2. Attend and document weekly Tier 2 contractor IR meetings.
3. Collate and input information for monthly Workforce Reports.
4. Update and maintain the Competency & Qualifications Matrix.
5. Attend and minute all types of Employee Relations meetings.
6. Liaise with Tier 2 contractors IR and site managers to gather workforce information.
7. Input IR documents onto MTA.
HR Administration:
8. Assist new starters with their accommodation and transport arrangements.
9. Coordinate visa applications and work permits for new starters.
10. Facilitate local transportation and accommodation for visitors as needed.
11. Participate in the BPSS vetting process and WIMS.
12. Handle payroll queries and coordinate with People Operations for resolution.
13. Perform routine tasks using Workday and OneHR systems and processes.
14. Assist at any stage in the recruitment process as required.
15. Produce IR spreadsheets and PowerPoint presentations.
16. Assist in updating IR procedures.

19. Provide administrative and HR support to the site IR Manager.
20. Undertake any other duties and responsibilities as reasonably required by the Site IR Manager.

Profile:
Education & Training:
24. CIPD qualified and/or relevant degree or higher degree.
25. Proficiency in MS-Windows and Office Applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MTA, intranet).
Professional Experience:
26. Essential: Previous experience in HR and familiarity with HR systems and processes.
27. Desirable: Previous IR experience.
28. Good interpersonal and communication skills.
29. Experience working on international construction projects in an administrative role.
Language Skills:
30. Fluent in English (oral and written).
31. Proficiency in any other languages is an advantage.
