As our Finance Business Partner (FBP), you will be the primary point of contact for Heathrow IRC (Immigration Removal Centre), ensuring effective communication and collaboration with all stakeholders to drive financial insights and support strategic decision-making. In collaboration with operational teams, you will focus on cost management and investment decisions, while assisting in the annual budgeting and forecasting processes to identify potential risks and opportunities.
Background to the role
The ideal candidate is a Qualified Accountant (ACA, CA, CIMA, ACCA) with experience in delivering finance and commercial targets, providing high-quality financial information, and producing timely reports. They should possess strong technical skills, comprehensive knowledge of current accounting standards, exceptional analytical abilities, and an aptitude for resolving complex issues.
Job objectives and responsibilities
1. Work alongside the finance and operations teams to support in delivering the divisional objectives and strategy.
2. Work closely with the Contract Director and budget holders to provide high-quality financial information to support decision making.
3. Deliver accurate and timely financial reporting to internal and external stakeholders.
4. Produce the month-end reporting (P & L, balance sheet, cash flow) in line with Group timetables and provide transparent contract finance reporting that will withstand management scrutiny/challenge.
5. Own and update the Risks and Opportunities log for the contract.
Person Specification
1. Qualified Accountant (ACA, CA, CIMA, ACCA).
2. Good communication skills at all levels.
3. Good knowledge of finance and operational processes and systems (hands-on use of SAP, TM1 and FDW).
4. Ability to identify and implement process improvements to improve processes.
5. Knowledge of C&C sector/environment would be advantageous.
6. High level of integrity.
