Sales Development Representative (E-commerce Sales) Location: Remote (UK-based) Type: Full-time, Permanent Salary: £40,000 – £45,000 per year Reports to: Commercial Manager / Revenue Lead About the Role: We’re looking for a proactive, confident, and digitally savvy Sales Development Representative (SDR) to help grow our e-commerce sales. This role focuses on identifying and converting B2C and small B2B leads that are not yet ready for our full SaaS solution. You’ll be working at the front line of our sales funnel — researching leads, reaching out, sparking interest, and converting new customers through a combination of outbound activity and collaboration with the marketing team. What You’ll Be Doing: Prospecting & Lead Generation Research and identify potential B2C and small B2B customers using online tools and historical data Use digital platforms (social media, CRM, e-commerce tools) to spot high-intent prospects Understand each lead’s needs and tailor your outreach accordingly Sales Outreach & Relationship Building Contact leads via email, phone, and social media to introduce our solutions Book calls, demos, and meetings with prospects to move them through the funnel Build trust with decision-makers and become their go-to contact Market Insight & Feedback Monitor competitors and market trends to shape your outreach strategy Share customer feedback with the marketing and product teams to help improve messaging and offerings Collaboration with Marketing Work closely with the marketing team to align campaigns and outreach strategies Help create and test campaign ideas that drive traffic to the e-commerce platform Use digital marketing tools (emails, social posts, content marketing) to support lead generation Sales Conversion & Revenue Growth Convert inbound leads and turn outreach efforts into real sales Identify customers who may eventually move from e-commerce to our full SaaS solution Track sales performance and report on progress regularly Customer Retention & Risk Monitoring Keep an eye on repeat buyers and customers at risk of dropping off Flag and resolve issues before they escalate, ensuring customers stay happy and engaged What We’re Looking For: Proven experience in sales development, lead generation, or account management Experience working in e-commerce, tech, SaaS, or service-based industries Comfortable using digital marketing techniques and CRM tools Excellent communication skills — you’re confident on the phone, in emails, and on social platforms Self-motivated, results-driven, and comfortable managing your own pipeline Able to analyse sales data and turn insights into action Bonus if you have experience in the maritime industry, especially in training or crewing Soft Skills excellent communication self-motivated results-driven relationship building trustworthy Hard Skills sales development lead generation digital marketing CRM tools data analysis Saas ecommerce account management Nice to Have: Degree in Business, Marketing, or similar Certifications in sales, account management, or customer success Familiarity with social selling and email sequencing tools What You’ll Get: Base salary of £40,000–£45,000 potential bonuses Private medical insurance 5% employer pension contribution BUPA cash plan to cover out-of-pocket medical costs Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) Life assurance Remote-first working culture Internal mobility and career growth opportunities A vibrant, supportive, and impact-driven team We believe great people build great businesses.
