BHC is one of the UKs leading Structural Steel Fabrication and Construction companies, supplying, and erecting fabricated steel nationwide within the UK and Ireland.
We currently have a vacancy for a Business Development Manager who will play a pivotal role in developing our Company’s growth and success. You will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building strategic partnerships, and expanding our market presence.
Key Duties include:
* Conducting market research to identify potential clients and industries for growth.
* Developing and executing comprehensive business development strategies.
* Planning and overseeing new market initiatives.
* Building and nurturing relationships with key stakeholders and decision makers.
* Working closely with the SMT to negotiate and close deals.
* Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution.
* Assisting the Estimating Departments with Pre-Qualification Tender Questionnaires and Quality submissions as part of the Tender Bid Process.
* Creating marketing plans to promote BHC’s products and services.
* Consulting with SMT to discuss innovation or development in existing products and services.
* Researching organizations and monitoring industry trends to identify new opportunities.
Skills and Experience:
* Proven experience in business development or a related field.
* Experience in the energy sector is highly advantageous, though not essential.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Strong negotiation and problem-solving abilities.
* A track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
* Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
* Adaptability and a willingness to learn and grow with the company.
* Bachelor's degree in business or a related field.
The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator, with the ability to work independently. They will be conscientious, flexible, with a strong work ethic.
Location: Travel required throughout Scotland and Northern England for client meetings and site visits, with a Head Office in Carnwath, Lanark.
