Company Overview
You will be joining a very well-known, prestigious and highly regarded International Law Firm as their Management Accountant on a full-time, permanent basis, reporting into the Finance Director. Part of a sizable team of 18 in the Reporting & Analysis division and a much larger wider finance team of over 65, this firm can offer impressive future career progression opportunities. Based in their very modern City of London office 3 days a week, you will have the option to work from home for the remaining 2 days.
Role Responsibilities
In your new role, you will be responsible for the production of the UK monthly management accounts (including P&L, balance sheet and cash flows), preparing balance sheet reconciliations (such as intercompany, accounts payable, bank loans and PAYE), preparing and maintaining UK accruals and prepayments, maintaining the fixed asset register, supporting in the month-end/year-end close process, producing headcount and other KPI reports looking for variances to budget and reviewing monthly overhead expenditure reports and variance analysis. You will liaise with the Accounts Payable team in relation to expenses, invoice postings and balance sheet reconciliations. You will assist with ad-hoc projects and reporting as and when they arise, comply with all relevant legal/regulatory obligations including the SRA, assist with the annual Audit process and support other members of the reporting team with various tasks.
Role Requirements
In order to be successful in this role, you will need to be a confident Accountant with the understanding of multicurrency bookkeeping and statutory requirements. Ideally you will be coming from a Legal or Professional Services environment and be part-qualified/finalist ACCA/CIMA/ACA. You will have a confident, proactive and enthusiastic approach and possess incredibly strong communication skills. You will be able to demonstrate capability of identifying process improvements, be IT savvy and have some knowledge of CRM systems. You will have an outstanding work ethic and possess the ability to work well under pressure and stick to tight, conflicting deadlines.
In Return
You will receive an annual salary of up to £65,000 (depending on experience) + study support (to be discussed after 6 months) + annual bonus entitlement + benefits (including private medical insurance and a generous pension contribution) and this package will be regularly reviewed to remain in line with market rate.
