With the implementation of a new group structure comprising five businesses under a holding company, we’re looking for an experienced and driven Management Accountant to join the team. They are also rolling out a new ERP system (COINS), so this is a great opportunity to bring your expertise and play a pivotal role in streamlining our financial operations. Management Accountant - The Role As a Management Accountant, you will oversee the financial operations for the group and its individual businesses. You will play a key role as part of the Senior Management Team (SMT), contributing to the company’s overall growth and strategy. This will include presenting a regular 15-minute update on the financial performance and key insights during SMT meetings. This role provides the opportunity to develop and manage a financial team, ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our day-to-day financial activities, while also supporting the implementation of new processes and systems, including the roll-out of the COINS ERP system. Key Responsibilities • Financial Oversight: • Cash flow forecasting for all businesses. • Preparation of monthly management accounts for the group and each subsidiary. • Overseeing payments and payroll processes. • Managing and improving credit control procedures. • Strategic Involvement: • Leading the financial team, ensuring their development and performance. • Supporting the group in implementing and leveraging the new COINS ERP system. • Providing financial insights to guide decision-making at a strategic level, i including presenting updates during SMT meetings. • Operational Management: • Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and internal policies. • Streamlining expenses and improving financial efficiency. • Working closely with key stakeholders to deliver accurate and timely reporting. Management Accountant - The Person We’re looking for a confident, proactive, and detail-oriented professional who can hit the ground running in a dynamic business environment. Essential Skills and Qualifications: • Proven experience in a management accounting role, preferably within a multi-business structure or group. • Strong knowledge of cash flow forecasting, credit control, payroll, and management accounts preparation. • Experience managing and developing financial teams. • High proficiency with ERP systems, ideally COINS, or equivalent financial software. • Excellent communication and leadership skills. • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities. Desirable: • Experience in a construction, cabling, or technology-related industry. • A professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, or ACA).
