Job summary
To work as part of the radiography team as a qualified radiographer to perform a range of radiographic imaging procedures within the department, on the wards, and in theatre.
To work within the boundaries of existing competence, adhering to the Ionising Radiation (Medical Exposures) Regulations 2017, as well as local procedures and protocols related to radiation procedures, staff, and patient safety.

We are looking for an enthusiastic person to join the Radiology Team as a Diagnostic Radiographer. Ensure high-quality patient care, maintain patient flow, and support the day-to-day running of the department while maintaining a clean and safe environment.
To undertake duties and contribute to the holistic care of patients as part of a multidisciplinary team, responsible for delivering effective, high-quality care, and carrying out specific clinical tasks to ensure the area runs smoothly and efficiently. Excellent communication skills are essential to foster good working relationships within and outside the department.
Our fully digital department includes 6 X-Ray rooms and 1 community hospital, all recently refurbished with state-of-the-art GE equipment. We also have 2 fluoroscopy/interventional rooms, dental, DEXA, and 2 CT scanners. Additionally, we have 3 image intensifiers supporting various surgical procedures. The radiology service provides Ultrasound, Mammography, and MRI scanning services.
A comprehensive preceptorship program will be provided, mentored by our departmental Clinical Practice Facilitator.
Ability to participate in 24-hour working patterns is essential, as the department operates a full out-of-hours shift system.
Working Pattern: Permanent Contract - Full time, hours between 8:00 am - 8:00 pm, seven days a week, with participation in the out-of-hours rota.
