Job Title: Pupil Support Assistant Level 2, Anstruther
We are seeking a dedicated Pupil Support Assistant (Level 2) passionate about enhancing life opportunities for children and young people to reach their full potential. Under the supervision of a class teacher or senior staff, you will support children who require additional assistance.
Responsibilities include:
1. Supporting pupils individually, in class, or in small groups in learning and personal development.
2. Contributing information to update planning and review processes for individual pupils.
3. Supervising self-administration of medication, providing personal care, toileting, and encouraging independence.
4. Implementing support programs designed by specialists, such as speech, physiotherapy, or occupational therapy programs.
5. Supporting mobility and short-term needs, including toileting and injury support, based on training.

Qualifications, Registration, and Skills:
* Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
* Experience supporting young people with additional needs.
* Qualifications: 2 National 5s, 2 Standard Grades, 2 O Grades, or equivalent.
* For Early Learning Centres/Primary and Special Schools: NC in Early Education and Childcare (SCQF Level 6), SVQ in Social Services (Children and Young People) (SCQF Level 6), or equivalent, or a commitment to achieve this within the first registration period.
* Proficient IT skills.
Additional requirements include obtaining PVG scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland and SSSC registration within three months of appointment. Immediate application is advised to ensure registration within six months.
