This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Pharmacist wishing to join part of the Primary Care Team, under the Additional Roles Reimbursement Scheme.
We have a rapidly expanding team of healthcare professionals within the Practice, including GPs, Nurses, Health Care Assistants, Care-Coordinators and Clinical Pharmacists. We are also a training practice for GP Registrars and regularly have medical students with us from both the University of Oxford and University of Buckingham.
The PCN Clinical Pharmacist is an integral part of the clinical team, using and sharing pharmacy expertise to support the GPs and the whole practice in providing optimal patient care.

The Windrush Medical Practice sits at the edge of the Cotswolds with a practice population of over 21,000 patients.
We are a well-respected, patient-centered, dispensing GP practice with an outstanding CQC rating.
Our clinical team comprises of 17 GP's, Nurse Prescribers, Nurses, Health Care Assistants and Clinical Pharmacists and we are looking for an additional Clinical Pharmacist to join our forward-thinking team.
The Practice participates in medical research projects which are vital in helping to improve clinical care and knowledge. We are also a Postgraduate GP Training practice.
The practice prioritizes staff wellbeing and has a dynamic, proactive wellbeing team along with an Employee Assistance Program.
Job Responsibilities
Accountable To: Primary Care Network Clinical Director
Relationships: Eynsham and Witney PCN, but based at the Windrush Medical Practice
Hours: Up to Full-time
Key Responsibilities
The key aims for the clinical pharmacist are:
1. Increase safety and quality of prescribed medicines.
2. Provide support on medicines related issues to the whole practice team.
3. Be a point of contact for patients regarding medicines queries.
They should support the following clinical work:
1. Clinical Medication Review.
They should also support the following practice development work:
1. Focusing on QoF, IIF and PQS Domains.
2. Prescribing Safety, Clinical audit, Local Enhanced Services support.

Windrush Medical Practice Staff, including GPs, PCN clinical pharmacists, nurses and other practice staff members.

Community nurses and other allied health professionals.

Personal/Professional Development
The post-holder will participate in any training programme implemented by the Practice as part of this employment, such training to include:
1. Participation in an annual individual performance review, including taking responsibility for maintaining a record of own personal and/or professional development.
2. Taking responsibility for own development, learning and performance and demonstrating skills and activities to others who are undertaking similar work.
3. Undertake and complete all statutory and mandatory training.
4. Participate in an appraisal and regular performance reviews.
5. Promote a learning environment for patients, colleagues and other health professionals.
6. Contribute to the planning and implementation of the teaching of and support for new and existing staff in the Practice, including GP registrars, medical students and newly-recruited Clinical Pharmacists.
7. Opportunity to participate in clinical trials and support the Research Team. Training will be provided.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* BSc/Grad Dip in Pharmacy Practice.
* A minimum of one year's post qualification experience.
* Membership as practising pharmacist with The General Pharmaceutical Council.
* Commitment towards continuing professional development in accordance with requirements of The General Pharmaceutical Council.
* Pharmacist independent prescriber registered with The General Pharmaceutical Council.
* Relevant post registration experience of community, hospital and/or primary care pharmacy practice.
Skills
* Good interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of people.
* Ability to work as part of a team and autonomously.
* Knowledge of IT systems email/word/Microsoft teams.
* Good time management skills, able to prioritise and organise workload for best effect.
