People & Culture Advisor
Location: Hanley, Stoke on Trent (travel to other sites will be required. UK based only)
Salary: £31,000 (Full Time Equivalent)
Hours: 24 hours per week (3 days)
Contract: Part-Time/Permanent

About the Role
As a People & Culture Advisor, you’ll play a key role in fostering a thriving, people-first workplace. You’ll be working closely with managers and employees across the business, ensuring they are supported and empowered. Whether it’s employee relations, talent acquisition, engagement, performance development, or wellbeing initiatives – you’ll be at the heart of making Emma Bridgewater an even better place to work.
What You’ll Be Doing
Employee Relations & Engagement
* Be a trusted advisor, providing guidance on employee relations matters, conflict resolution, and workplace investigations.
* Promote open communication and a culture of fairness, ensuring that policies and procedures are applied consistently.
* Support managers in handling performance concerns and fostering positive working relationships.
* Drive initiatives that enhance employee engagement, retention, and satisfaction.
Talent Acquisition & Onboarding
* Support recruitment and onboarding processes, ensuring a seamless experience for new employees.
* Attend job fairs and recruitment events to attract top talent.
* Support the People & Culture Coordinator in ensuring new employees feel welcomed and set up for success through structured onboarding.
Performance & Development
* Support managers in recognising and rewarding excellence while addressing underperformance constructively.
* Help shape our learning and development approach by identifying training needs and coordinating development opportunities.
* Deliver internal training sessions on leadership, communication, and workplace policies.
Wellbeing, Inclusion & Culture
* Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI), ensuring a welcoming workplace for all.
* Work with the People & Culture team to implement wellbeing initiatives that support our employees’ health and work-life balance.
* Encourage and support community engagement initiatives, building relationships with local schools, colleges, and charities.
Policies, Compliance & Strategy
* Ensure policies are up to date, relevant, and consistently applied.
* Provide guidance on employment laws and workplace regulations.
* Contribute to key strategic projects that enhance our company culture, engagement, and ways of working.
What We’re Looking For
* CIPD Level 5 qualification (or equivalent experience)
* Strong HR experience with a focus on relationship-building and coaching.
* A proactive, positive, and solutions-driven mindset.
* Excellent communication and influencing skills – able to engage people at all levels.
* Ability to balance multiple priorities and work under pressure.
* Strong knowledge of HR systems, employment law, and workplace policies.
* A collaborative team player who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
