We are excited to advertise a Band 6 Clinical Nurse Lead post on Castleside, where there will be opportunities to work both as part of a team and independently using initiative.
Continuous development and training is advocated and supported for the team and its leadership. The Clinical Nurse Lead will participate in collaborative working with patients, carers, the MDT, and community services to facilitate high standards of individualised patient care and progression to successful discharges. They will receive and deliver clinical supervision, appraisals, and training opportunities to support achieving high standards of care.

Main Duties of the Job
Castleside is a ten-bedded mixed assessment inpatient ward assessing patients with cognitive impairment. The ward has a wide MDT, including consultant psychiatrists, psychology, psychology assistants, OT, Physio, Speech and Language, Activity Facilitators, and admin, all of whom work collaboratively with the clinical team and service users in completing assessments of needs and delivering individualised care to support a successful transition and discharge to the appropriate environment when their recovery has been optimised.
The Clinical Nurse Lead will work within a multi-disciplinary team, developing collaborative, needs-based care plans through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation within an inpatient setting. They act as an identified deputy in the absence of the Ward Manager, facilitating and coordinating clinical practice to ensure high standards of evidence-based care and treatment. They are visible and accessible to patients, families, and carers, working together to ensure efficient, effective, and caring services.

Person Specification
Education and Qualification
* ENB 998 / P126/127 or equivalent.
* Leadership Experience
Knowledge and Experience
* Post-registration clinical experience.
* 12 to 24 months band 5 qualified nurse experience, dependent upon service need.
* Good communication and interpersonal skills.
* Change Management.
