First Military Recruitment is proudly working in partnership with a fantastic manufacturing business who are looking to recruit a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer on a permanent basis due to growth based at their Northampton depot.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Demonstrate safe working practices at all times.
2. Produce and review RAMs
3. RCA and detailed fault finding
4. Carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive maintenance and all associated system activity.
5. Use of all site safety systems including L.O.T.O system, testing for dead and safe reinstallation to the plant.
6. Follow the correct permit systems, produce risk assessments, safe systems of work, C.O.S.H.H. assessments to safely complete your allocated work stream.
7. Instrument calibrations, control valve maintenance.
8. Refurbishment of all types of plant and equipment including laboratory, factory, and effluent treatment plant to ensure the effectiveness of the plant.
9. Carry out duty holder roles
10. Competent to work with all sites hazardous systems including steam, air, water, and a variety of dangerous chemicals including HCL, Nitric acid, caustic and ammonia plus others and their bulk
11. storage.
12. Mentor others to promote a good working knowledge of the plant throughout all aspects of work.
13. Good communication with all grades keeping them aware of work undertaken and hand over`s when completed.
14. Forming part of wider project teams or individual multiskilled activities.
Skills and Qualifications:
15. An apprentice trained Engineer with an either Mech / Elec Bias (preferably with a mixture of the 2)
16. Familiar with instrument calibrations
17. Experience with HMIs, PLCs / DCS / Scada fault finding
18. Electrical 17th/18th edition
19. Experience with CMMS, preventative / predictive maintenance – desirable
20. Able to manage contractors – desirable
21. H&S and Environmental awareness – NEBOSH or IOSH Managing safety – desirable
MB628: Job Title: Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer
Location: Northampton
Salary: £46,000 + 10% shift allowance
Working Hours: 42 hours per week. 6am to 6pm. 3 days on, 2 days off
