Job summary
We are seeking a highly motivated individual to work as a ward clerk supporting the CAMHS Inpatient Unit at Ty Llidiard, Princess of Wales Hospital. The successful candidate will need to possess excellent organisational skills whilst having the ability to undertake their work within a busy nursing office providing administrative support to nursing colleagues.
The successful candidate will need to have a caring and non-judgmental attitude to issues faced by people with mental health problems and ability to deal with distressed and irate patients/carers with sensitivity and diplomacy.
Ideally the successful candidate will have experience of working within a similar environment and be able to demonstrate their ability to maintain good attention to detail whilst prioritising their work.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will provide an efficient clerical service to support the smooth running of day to day operational issues within the ward environment.
The post holder will work as part of a busy team, providing reception duties and clerical support to Tier 4 CAMHS In-patient Service based on both Enfys and Seren Wards.
The post holder will work to standard operating procedures, liaising in a professional manner with patients, visitors, colleagues, and other agencies and undertake a wide spectrum of duties to include general office duties, medical record administration duties, reception and telephone duties.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
