Shift pattern will be Monday to Friday .6am start based on a 40hour week You will be responsible for delivering an end-to-end transport plan. Ensuring that safety, service and savings targets are adhered to. Working with a teamethos to ensure an excellent and valued service is provided to all customers, whilst gaining trust and respectful business relationships. What youll do on a typical day: Creating cost effective haulage plans in line with the customers expectations and Service Level Agreements. Looking after the day to day vehicle & driver compliance. To have the ability to react and positively adapt to the demands of the customers in a dynamic live environment. Consistency in communication with respect to planning changes and service delivery with both customers and supplier hauliers is critical and must be always maintained. Possess commercial awareness in line with baseline protocols ensuring ad hoc deliveries are agreed effectively and recorded. A team player with a flexible approach to working hours, showing commitment as necessary to satisfying fluctuating business demands. Ensuring effective and efficient use of the transport planning systems adopting best practise and general housekeeping. Recognise peers strengths and weakness, offer support to achieve business and personal goals. Continually look to improve the service we provide offering ideas and recommendations as necessary. Proactively prevent accidents and reduce hazards by ensuring that Company Policy, Health & Safety Standards, and standards of housekeeping are always followed across the Platform In addition to the duties and responsibilities listed, the job holder is required to perform other duties assigned by their manager from time to time. What you need to succeed at XPO: Experience of working in a Transport environment Experience of transport planning in a 3PL environment is desirable. Good working knowledge of UK Geography. Experience in using transport planning software. Awareness of Large Good Vehicles and Trailer combination equipment types. Successful tracking record in communication and building relationships with customers. Experience in a challenging Customer Service environment. Be part of something big.
