Amazon is innovating in the Operations and Logistics space and looking for a driven, entrepreneurial, and analytical Account Manager for the UK. We are looking for an account manager who will be excited by working in a new start-up environment and will have familiarity with B2B sales and account management for Enterprise level customers.
The successful Account Manager will be comfortable navigating ambiguity and operating in a start-up environment. You will have experience developing relationships across a diverse customer base, drive commercial growth for the business and work effectively with functional areas such as Business, Operations, Procurement, Finance, and IT; and have a proven track record of meeting and exceeding program goals and revenue targets.
The successful candidate will have business fluency in Mandarin. Possible moderate travel (maximum 25%).
Key job responsibilities
1. Own strategy and commercial growth of our customers based internationally (e.g. China, US, India etc) but shipping cross borders into the United Kingdom.
2. Drive revenue, adoption, and market segment share for our product.
3. Earn trust of customers (shippers) and recommend product solutions that fit their business needs, meeting and exceeding targets for customer revenue and/or feature adoption.
4. Measure performance, articulate root-cause analysis, and link to specific improvement areas.
5. Relay market segment needs and requirements back to internal Amazon teams.
6. Analyse current purchasing processes and evaluate opportunities for solutions to improve end user experiences, reduce costs, and accelerate organization performance.
7. Drive and accelerate spend adoption through advising customers on best practices for using our product.
8. Assess program risks, anticipate challenges, and provide escalation management when necessary.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience in developing, negotiating and executing business agreements
- Experience in a professional field or military
- Experience developing strategies that influence leadership decisions at the organizational level
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience interpreting data and making business recommendations
- Experience identifying, negotiating, and executing complex legal agreements
