Job summary Band 7- Maternity Site Coordinators 37.5 hours per week, working days, nights, weekends and bank holidays. An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the maternity team at The Hillingdon Hospital NHS Foundation Trust as one of our Maternity Site Coordinators. This is a new role and as part of our Maternity Site Coordinator team you will: On a shift-to-shift basis, lead coordination of the maternity operational activity to maintain patient safety and flow through the service, including acute and elective admissions. Ensure safe, efficient and effective service user flow, whilst ensuring optimal bed utilisation and staffing across the maternity service through co-ordination of admissions, transfers and discharges. Act as the senior midwifery lead during 'out-of-hours' periods and provide clinical operational support to all on-site maternity staff. Oversee out of hours management of the maternity site, including the response to security incidents, and to escalate any clinical and non-clinical issues to relevant on-call staff, other senior on site people as appropriate. The post holder will ensure effective communication throughout the multidisciplinary team and support a positive safety culture.
