Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer Location: Wednesbury. Permanent Opportunity Salary: £40k to £43K negotiable dependent on experience. Hours Of Work: Week 1 & 3 Monday to Friday 7.00am till 4.00pm, Week 2 & 4 Monday to Friday 2.00pm till 10.00pm, Week 2 & 4 Saturday 08.00am till 1.00pm Total hours 40 hours per week. We are working in partnership with a large manufacturer who are growing rapidly and are looking to employ a multi skilled maintenance engineer. This role would suit a candidate who has worked in fast paced automotive manufacturing or food manufacturing environment. Responsibilities for multi skilled engineer. Reporting directly to the Engineering manager daily. Ensure all work practices adhere to company health and safety policies and procedures. Must be able to work on own and as part of a team conducting routine and reactive repair ensuring all deliverable targets are met or exceeded. Responsible for Electrical / Mechanical maintenance on a day-to-day base on plant equipment and building equipment. To be able to complete electrical installations to the latest regulations within a fast-moving factory environment. Perform electrical maintenance to both. Support the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of key automated manufacturing plant equipment. Implement, document and report routine maintenance schedules for both plant and machinery using a Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) To assist all trades within the facility and complete mechanical repairs when required. Completing reactive work orders within time parameters. Proactive problem-solving ability, ability to think objectively through various options and scenarios. Qualifications for multi skilled engineer Knowledge of AC/DC drives and their associated motors or pumps. PLC fault-finding to function as our go-to for all electrical controls matters. In depth knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics. Plenty of initiative, meticulous with detail and enormous pride in your work. A good working knowledge of health & safety procedures is desirable. 18th Edition Qualification. Qualified to City & Guilds (Level 3) in an electrical / mechanical engineering discipline. Ideally apprentice trained with experience from an automated, fast paced manufacturing environment. Working knowledge of high temperature ovens and blow moulders.
