We are seeking a Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant to join a dynamic and nurturing educational community in Ware, with an immediate start.
This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference by providing tailored support to students with a variety of SEN needs, helping them achieve their full potential academically and emotionally.
- Student Support: Provide one-to-one and small group assistance to students with SEN, tailoring teaching methods to their unique learning needs.
- Collaboration: Work closely with classroom teachers and SENCOs to implement and adapt Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
- Encouraging Inclusion: Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that empowers students to feel valued and supported.
- Progress Monitoring: Track student progress and behaviours, providing regular feedback to teachers and caregivers.
- Therapeutic Assistance: Support the delivery of sensory integration techniques and other therapeutic interventions as required.
- Experience: Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN, preferably within a school setting.
- Passion: A genuine commitment to supporting the personal and academic development of students with SEN.
- Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication abilities to build effective relationships with students, staff, and caregivers.
- Personal Qualities: Patience, empathy, and resilience in handling challenging situations.
- Qualifications: Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) is advantageous but not essential.
- Compliance: Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check.
