Job summary General Practice Assistants provide a supporting role to clinicians. They carry out administrative tasks and when necessary, some basic clinical duties, helping to free up GP's time and improving patients' experience. We are looking for an enthusiastic and proactive trainee GP Assistant to join our friendly practices. It would be an advantage to have a good knowledge of the administrative processes in General Practice and have experience working on a clinical IT system. This is a development role and training will be provided in accordance with the national competency framework. You will need to have excellent organisational skills, good attention to detail and be able to communicate well. Although the role is full-time, part-time applicants would be considered. Main duties of the job We are looking for someone with excellent communication skills and a commitment to working as part of a strong and effective team. We are open Monday to Friday from 8am to 6.30 pm. You will be required to work shifts within these opening times and shifts that are rostered at least a month in advance.
