Maintenance Engineer
48,344 + overtime
4on/4off Days and nights (2days/2nights four off)
My Client have been manufacturing in the area for years and have a factory packed to the rafters full of automated machinery. The factory is split into two departments which include the process side and packaging side. Due to two retirements, they are looking to add two maintenance engineers to the team. There are progression routes to get to team leader/supervisor and Maintenance Manager. The current Engineering Manager has been with the company for six years and worked his way up. Some of the machines you will be working on include: pumps, valves, heat exchangers, mixers, conveyors, robots (ABB/Kawasaki), sealers, box machines, packaging machines and much more. They will need at least level 2 in an electrical qualification but would look at either bias as a maintenance engineer.
Benefits for the maintenance engineer:
Overtime available on tap – can earn over £60,000 – overtime x1.5 and double time Saturday night and Sunday
Private healthcare for yourself and the family
Option to buy four days extra holiday
training - both internal/external course
ladder progression plan into more senior roles
Above average pension – you put in 5% they put in 7%
Electric car scheme
Generous holiday for the maintenance engineer
Experience required for the maintenance engineer:
5 years + Exp. working as a multi-skilled maintenance engineer - would look at either bias
knowledge of pumps, pneumatics, conveyors, valves, packaging machines etc is advantageous
Level 2/3 in electrical qualification is a must
Ideally worked in a fast paced production environment
Attitude is key for this role, loads of development and progression opportunities for the maintenance engineer
Would look at maintenance engineers from any background including ex-forces
