To provide a service in Emergency Medicine to the hospital and community with responsibility for the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of illness at the level of a junior grade Emergency Medicine doctor.
As a junior employee of the Health Board the post holder will work in close co-operation with, and support other clinical, medical professional and managerial colleagues in providing high quality healthcare to the Health Board's patients.
Doctors wishing to apply for these posts must have full registration with the General Medical Council and will have completed at least two years' full-time postgraduate training (or its equivalent gained on a part-time or flexible basis) Emergency Medicine or shall have equivalent experience and competencies. Postgraduate training opportunities include weekly protected teaching sessions.

Numerous locations providing mental health and learning disabilities services;
Highly specialised and tertiary services commissioned by the Welsh Health Specialised Services Committee, a joint committee representing seven health boards across Wales., Hywel Dda University Health Board operates a bilingual policy.
