About The Post
We are seeking a highly organised and motivated individual to join our high performing Library Service, performing the vital function of a Scheduling Support Officer for the service.
Key duties associated with this role include:
* Organise personnel rotas to ensure all libraries, Bibliographic and Home Library services are staffed to appropriate levels and help managers coordinate cover arrangements for all planned absences including holidays and other leave in the most efficient manner possible.
* Assist library managers in planning logistics for a wide array of events, working with both internal and external partners as well as assisting with organising training including effective coverage to allow for both mandatory and development training to be completed for all staff.
* Use IT solutions to assist in effective data collection and maintenance including the creating of reports linked to operational functions and service performance.
* Undertake administrative duties in a fast paced and often demanding environment where efficiency and accuracy are pivotal.
* Undertake any other duties commensurate with the role as requested by management.
This role will involve working flexibly, Monday to Friday. The role will primarily be based at Library@TheLightbox, but this could be subject to change depending on service requirements. You will report directly to a Library Manager and will be expected to carry out allocated work in accordance with the respective job profile to a high standard of quality.
You should have experience of working in administrative environments with good working knowledge of resourcing to demand principles as well as the creation and maintenance of staffing rotas and associated logistics.
