What you’ll be doing:
* Operational Management: Support the Rail Project team in the development of the rail sector, including managing operational delivery, safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.
* Financial Oversight: Assist in managing the P&L, budget control, and ensuring cash flow and collections are handled properly.
* Contract Management: Interpret and implement controls for contracts, with a focus on delivering right-first-time solutions.
* Business Development: Identify new opportunities to tender, build relationships with clients, and ensure a continuous pipeline of work.
* People Management: Coach and develop the workforce, ensuring that quality, health, and safety standards are maintained.
* Health and Safety: Work closely with the Health and Safety team to ensure compliance and involvement in future RISQS audits.
Your skills and experiences:
* Experience: A proven track record in managing teams within the rail sector.
* Financial Acumen: Demonstrated experience managing P&L, budgets, and commercial responsibilities.
* People Management: Strong leadership, motivational, and workforce development skills.
* Technical Knowledge: Extensive knowledge of the Rail & LV market and the electrical industry.
* Health & Safety Qualifications: PTS, IOSH, or SMSTS Health & Safety for Managers.
* Educational Requirements: Degree or relevant experience in managing an engineering business.
Please note due to the location of the client, travel will be required occasionally.
