ABOUT THE ROLE This role is responsible for all things that Hexagon can achieve in the utilities and communications market sector. The ability to engage at all levels from site to the boardroom as well as the ability to communicate with all users, influencers, and buyers across the many parts of the industry is vital. This includes but is not limited to, Infrastructure and asset owners, contractors of all sizes, industry bodies & all other relevant stakeholders. This role will be responsible for SOP forecasting of BU28 and be responsible for interfacing with the BU on all aspects of solutions within BU28. This role will drive sales into the utilities and communications market, both direct and via 3rd party distributors. This role is to focus on growing our existing business and finding new customers in the utilities and c ommunications market. This role will be required to identify new opportunities for Hexagon solutions to be applied within this market and work to exploit these opportunities for more business for Hexagon products. This role will identify competition accounts in this market and nurture them to try and convert them over to Hexagon technology. The role will actively promote new technology adoption within the market. It is also expected to increase the sales revenue and introduce initiatives. e.g., framework agreements. This role will be responsible for gaining access to and managing utility / comms specific tenders. This role is also expected to perform a general sales role of all Hexagon technology within the Utilities / Comms market, working across all relevant BU’s (26, 47, 27, 28, 66, 65, 45) as well as promoting Hexagon solutions such as BricsCAD, Oxblue & Avvir in the UK market. The role requires the candidate to oversee, suggest, discuss, lead & manage the adoption of all relevant technologies in the Hexagon group which are relevant to the market of Utilities and Comms. It will then work with the most appropriate channel to market, either directly or indirectly managing the adoption of this technology by the relevant channel to bring about success and growth in top line sales as well as increasing the market share for Hexagon in Utilities & Comms Opportunities created relating to utility mapping and survey will be passed to those with relevant domain expertise This role will be responsible for bringing in the relevant product specialists where required to deliver technical consultation, demonstrations, and training. The candidate will be required to engage with industry bodies and to deliver thought leadership talks and presentations at sector relevant events and exhibitions. A significant level of sales pipeline and activity management is required to ensure that all sales leads are followed through to conclusion, all within SFDC ABOUT YOU You will be able to collaborate with all key internal stakeholders to ensure they are clear with the direction of business and can provide any necessary support to achieve the overall business goals and targets. You will have a strong understanding of the market. You will have a working knowledge of most of the solutions applicable to this industry. You will be able to manage a significant level of sales pipeline and activity management to ensure that all sales leads are followed through to conclusion, all within SFDC. You will be able to deliver regular reports on business activity, market analysis, competitor activity, relevant technology to all required stakeholders. You will be able to promote the company’s products/services addressing or predicting customers objectives. RESPONSIBILITIES Keep up to date with products, competitor’s activity, and general market conditions. Provide reliable and accurate feedback to senior management on general market conditions. Always maintain internal communication and understand roles within the wider context of the organisation. Attend industry and company specific conferences and events. Disciplined use of SFDC and other administrative requirements All relevant meeting actions should be accurately documented, and actions followed in a timely manner. EXPERIENCE / SKILLS REQUIRED A deep understanding of Utilities and Comms market, workflows and contracts are desirable. Proven industry experience in selling product & services to end users or applied knowledge of implementing solutions in the Utilities and Comms market. Knowledge of a wide range of surveying equipment and the requirements of our customers Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interface at all levels and functions. Entrepreneurial drive and strong work ethic Ability to work across the regional area at least 4 days per week, often staying away from home. Strong sense of urgency, responsibility, and accountability Willingness to travel for business. Adheres to Hexagon values. Ability to draft reports, business plans, business correspondence and forecasting. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public. Fluent working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Working knowledge of CRM software solutions is desirable (e.g. Salesforce.com) TRAVEL Domestic and some international travel will be required for this role.
