Purpose:
The Warehouse Supervisor provides direct leadership for all warehouse personnel. Additionally, this position provides on-site support and leadership in the absence of the Operations and Facility Manager for the site's warehouse function and escalates issues to the Operations and Facility Manager appropriately and in a timely manner.

Job Responsibilities:
1. Ensure work is performed within established regulations, policies and procedures with regards to incoming goods, order processing, stock placement, workplace health and safety, the workplace environment and quality control.
2. Observe general performance of all staff.
3. Identify issues/concerns and report/escalate information to the appropriate personnel.
4. Ensure schedules and deadlines are adhered to.
5. Establish and maintain effective working relationships showing respect and professionalism with those contacted in the course of work including co-workers, brokers and couriers.
6. Provide leadership by demonstrating high standards of work practices and safety conscious behaviour.
7. Provide customer service to all clients as well as external and internal customers in a professional manner.
8. Ensure inventory is maintained at proper levels and escalate inventory issues to appropriate personnel.
9. Perform regular cycle counts, ensuring inventory accuracy.
10. Schedule warehouse staff, including vacation scheduling, to appropriately cover all shifts to ensure work is completed in a timely and accurate manner.
11. Maintain payroll system for Warehouse staff.
12. Responsible for Warehouse staff performance, providing performance feedback regularly and as needed, and providing annual performance appraisals with the Operations and Facility Manager.
13. Document performance related issues of staff, provide conversation summaries and perform coaching sessions as necessary.
14. Lead, instruct and train employees on an ongoing basis to perform all Warehouse functions, including the provision of new employee hiring packages/training.
15. Identify and escalate IT issues in a timely manner.
16. Participate with the Operations and Facility Manager in the hiring of Warehouse staff.
17. Regularly monitor Warehouse reports for deficiencies, immediately acting to correct deficiencies, identifying trends and making/recommending process changes based on findings.
18. Provide feedback to Quality Control regarding any Quality Assurance reports related to the Warehouse department.
19. Provide regular staff meetings to ensure staff are aware of requirements and are aligned to tasks at hand.
20. Provide recognition of staff performance where staff member(s) work above and beyond or provide flexibility/availability beyond scheduled requirements.
21. Maintain a safe and healthy worksite.
Qualifications:
1. Completion of high school.
2. Minimum 2 years’ experience in a warehouse supervisory role and 5 years experience in a warehouse environment.
3. Must be computer literate with a background in Microsoft Great Plains or Pronto Xi an asset.
4. Full Driver’s license in the province on their practice and clean driver’s abstract.
5. Criminal background check is required.
6. Health and Safety awareness training is an asset.
7. Must be able to lift up to 25kg.
