Tradewind are working with a fantastic one form entry primary school in Huddersfield, and they are on the lookout for a Special Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) to provide 1:1 support to two children with Autism (ASC) in Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). This is a full-time position with a start date after the October half term break, so if you're passionate about supporting children with SEN, we want to hear from you today.
As an SEN TA, you will have the opportunity to work closely with children who have ASC, providing tailored support to meet their unique needs. Your role will involve assisting with educational and social development, ensuring that the child is fully engaged in their learning experience. You will collaborate with experienced educators and professionals to create a nurturing and inclusive atmosphere to ensure that the child can reach their full educational potential and help immerse themselves in school life. The role will be working with one child in the morning and then another child in the afternoon.
Qualifications and Skills required:
* Minimum of a level 2 or 3 CACHE TA qualification or equivalent.
* Experience in supporting children with special educational needs, particularly ASC, is essential to be successful in this role.
* A genuine passion for helping children overcome challenges and reach their potential.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
* Patience, empathy, and adaptability are essential qualities for success in this role.
