My client, a large Powered Access hire company who have been established over 25 years are now looking for an Accounts Assistant to join their ever growing team.
The role of Accounts Assistant in brief
We are looking for a proactive Accounts Assistant to support our finance team. The role involves handling purchase ledger invoices, assisting with credit control, and resolving invoice queries.
Key Responsibilities for the Accounts Assistant
1. Purchase Ledger: Process and record purchase invoices, reconcile supplier statements, and resolve discrepancies.
2. Credit Control: Assist in managing overdue accounts, send reminders, and update customer records.
3. Invoice Queries: Address and resolve discrepancies with suppliers and customers.
4. General Support: Help with month-end close, reporting, and ad-hoc tasks.
The ideal candidate for Accounts Assistant:
1. Previous experience in accounts (purchase ledger/credit control).
2. Strong Excel skills and knowledge of accounting software.
3. Excellent communication and organizational skills.
4. AAT level 2 qualification (preferable).
5. 2 years' experience in accounting.
