Role Purpose:
The Assistant Attendance Officer will play a vital role in supporting our school's attendance initiatives. You will work closely with the Attendance Officer and other members of the pastoral team to ensure that all students have regular and consistent attendance.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Communicate and liaise with families regarding attendance concerns.
2. Support the implementation of whole-school attendance initiatives.
3. Monitor and analyse student attendance patterns.
4. Address lateness of pupils and implement strategies to improve punctuality.
5. Support in the completion of administrative tasks related to attendance, such as updating records and preparing reports.
Skills:
1. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
2. Strong organisational and time management abilities.
3. The ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and staff.
4. Knowledge of relevant attendance legislation and best practices.
5. Experience working in an educational setting (preferred).
