We are welcoming applications for the post ofCAMHS Matron: Front Door & Urgent Carewithin our Integrated Children’s Directorate, supporting us with our Trust strategy for delivering high-quality care consistently across our services.
We’re looking for someone who is confident in their clinical knowledge to play an instrumental role in policy and practice development, including risk assessments and audits. You’ll support with assurance reporting, preparation for CQC and other external assessments or inspections.
This role is suited to an inspiring leader with an innovative and creative approach to problem-solving. You will be responsible for providing professional and clinical leadership, that supports evidence-based child-centred intervention to drive development within our children’s specialist mental health service.
This is a brilliant opportunity for the right individual to be part of the continued transformation and development of CAMHS Urgent Care & Front Door. This post is suitable for a Nurse or Allied Health Professional with relevant knowledge, experience, and skills.
You will need to demonstrate the aptitude to be an optimistic, resilient and visible leader, who can identify and harness the opportunities for cycles of change that enable sustainable transformation and deliver quality coproduced services which are responsive to the needs and circumstances of young people.
You’ll work within a Quality and Safety team who support the development and implementation of systems, structures, and processes to promote high-quality clinical services that make a real difference.
The Matron will work in collaboration with the Service Manager/s with responsibility of ensuring the delivery of the clinical pathways within the Urgent Care and Front Door. Included in this role, the post holder will:
· Have specialist Knowledge of the range of young people's mental health problems.
· An awareness ofrecent changes and current issues in mental health service provision.
· Contribute to complex case work embedded in evidence-based practice
· Provide clinical advice to colleagues within urgent care services and external agencies.
· Oversee and contribute to expert clinical practice as a professional lead.
· Influence quality and safety standards and practice through evaluation and monitoring.
· Support changes in practice and service delivery through role modelling and leadership.

Qualifications
Essential
· Professional registration with significant post-qualification experience.
· Educated to a Masters level or demonstrable knowledge at the same level.
· Working knowledge of the Health and Social Care system including Mental Health.
Experience
Essential
· Significant and demonstrable experience post-qualification.
· Evidence of delivering successful operational performance management and clearly demonstrating improvement in patient and staff experience and outcomes.
· Demonstrable experience across mental health and/or related services.
· Ability to deal with difficult and complex complaints, concerns and incidents.
· Relevant experience of implementing operational planning with oversight of clinical effectiveness and outcomes.
Knowledge
Essential
· Extensive and senior working knowledge of applicable legislation including the MHA, SCA and MCA.
Ability to understand complex data and information including written reports.
Capable of working under pressure, to deadline and within a team and/or own initiative.
Ability to facilitate a clinical MDT together and facilitate complex decision making for the best clinical outcome.
