The European IT Resource Lead role works closely with senior IT stakeholders and project managers assisting with the allocation of resource requests, developing a top-down and bottom-up resource plan and managing an IT talent pool made up of circa 600 IT colleagues across Europe and India.
As part of the IT planning function for Europe, this role will support the development and implementation of a rolling top-down and bottom-up resource plan. Additionally, the European IT Resource Lead facilitates the optimal allocation of a large pool of project-based IT colleagues and supports the continuous improvement of the function.

Responsibilities:
* Managing a pan-European IT resource management function which has the capacity to accommodate a pool of around 600 colleagues across varying locations.
* Developing and maintaining a strategic plan for sourcing and resourcing in accordance with the needs of the IT organization.
* Creating and implementing a rolling top-down and bottom-up IT resource plan which informs the sourcing and resourcing plan.
* Defining and maintaining a set of entry and exit points for the requesting and allocation of IT resource, ensuring colleagues working on projects are fully utilized.
* Allocating IT resource demand using a single resource allocation solution or method.
* Balancing staffing levels against budget and focusing on exceeding targets as required.
* Managing and influencing schedule adherence and optimizing use of the IT resource pool in order to ensure that people are correctly allocated at all times.
* Leading the resource team with a focus on sharing best practice and continuous development.
* Identifying ways to continuously improve planning and scheduling processes and methodologies.
Minimum Requirements:
* Prior knowledge and experience with resource management tools and Microsoft Excel-based planning processes and methodology.
* Experience of budgeting, forecasting modelling, and real-time performance management within an IT operation.
* Excellent capabilities in creating IT resource demand and forecast models.
* Strong delivery focus and the ability to thrive and embrace change in a fast-paced setting.
* Exemplary communication, presentation and decision-making skills.
