Shifts:
We have day shifts and nights shifts roles available for immediate start.
Role Purpose:
The purpose of the role is to assist the warehouse Team Leaders and Managers to ensure the smooth running of all warehouse duties, loading or unloading of trailers, full pallet and case picking, receiving stock, cleaning and cycle counts. Working both alone and as part of a team, this role is a combination of using mechanical handling equipment and manual handling.
Key Responsibilities:
* Responsibility for location of stock receipts into the warehouse after ensuring that the paperwork and goods are correct, raising any discrepancies to the Team Leaders and Managers.
* Responsibility for picking goods from stock as and when required as directed by the Team Leaders or Managers.
* Operation of mechanical handling equipment (Counterbalance, Pivot, Reach and Pedestrian pallet trucks) to move pallets around the warehouse in order to meet business needs.
* Inspection of the trailer prior to loading goods, to ensure that the vehicle adheres to cleanliness and hygiene standards to transport goods and to sign load sheet to confirm vehicle and goods have been checked.
* To ensure that goods are loaded and unloaded as directed by the Team Leader or Manager ensuring that goods are correct and not damaged.
* To perform stock movements as required in accordance with the Company’s procedures.
* To ensure that high standards of housekeeping are maintained throughout the Warehouse and damaged products are brought to the attention of the Team Leader or Manager.
* Full adherence to health and safety policy and procedures at all times, reporting any broken, defective or faulty equipment to a manager to ensure the safety of all staff.
The Person
* Previous experience of working in a high volume FMCG or manufacturing environment.
* Demonstrable experience of Counterbalance/Reach/Pivot Truck driving.
* Ability to work autonomously to a high standard, either alone or as part of a wider team.
* Good oral/written communication skills, with the ability to deal confidently with a range of people at all levels.
* Suitable knowledge of up to date Health & Safety regulations.
* Ability to undertake manual handling tasks repetitively, of weights up to 25kg
