This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious engineer to manage a team and have a significant impact on the maintenance and improvement of automated systems.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nLead and manage a team of controls engineers across various sites in the UK, ensuring the maintenance and continuous improvement of automated production cells.\n\nDevelop and implement technical strategies to enhance the team’s knowledge and problem-solving capabilities in automation systems.\n\nModernise PLC platforms and integrated control systems across multiple sites.\n\nOversee the integration of advanced technology within new and existing systems.\n\nAct as the subject matter expert for control systems, automation equipment, and Series equipment processes.\n\nCollaborate with project management teams to ensure the smooth implementation of new products and technologies.\n\nWhat We’re Looking For\n\nCurrent, valid driving license and willingness to travel to various sites across the UK.\n\nExtensive experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment with a focus on automation and robotics.\n\nStrong background in Siemens and Allen Bradley PLC systems, with the ability to read, interpret, and write PLC code in multiple languages.\n\nProven leadership experience, managing teams and overseeing large-scale engineering projects.\n\nComprehensive understanding of automation cells, semi-automated equipment, and manufacturing processes.\n\nExcellent project management skills, with experience implementing new products and technologies.\n\nStrong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to mentor and develop a high-performing team.\n\nWhy You’ll Love Working Here\n\nJoin a forward-thinking team that values innovation, collaboration, and sustainability.
