Job summary This is an excellent opportunity to develop your career by taking on the role of Deputy Sister/Charge Nurse on Fordham Ward. You will support the Ward Sister in the delivery of a patient focused, clinically effective and dynamic service. Fordham ward is a 28 mainly female bedded trauma orthopaedic ward based at Colchester Hospital. We provide pre and post operative care. We are a close knit multidisciplinary team working alongside our therapy and ortho geriatrician team. We are looking for an individual who will support the ward sisters in leading and developing the wonderful nursing team in this department and promote multi-disciplinary working. You will provide inspirational leadership to the department, be positively welcoming, effective and act as a credible role model. You will have well-developed communication, change management and organisational skills, with a positive attitude and share in our vision and commitment to continuously develop and improve. You should be caring, compassionate, forward thinking, well organized and have a positive attitude towards flexibility and change.
