Job Responsibilities:
1. Provide advice on procedures for complex disciplines, grievances, and conditions of service.
2. Manage sickness, capability, recruitment, selection of staff, equal opportunities, and employment law.
3. Ensure adherence to best practice, Trust policies, procedures, and employment legislation.
4. Encourage a culture of delivery through empowering managers.
5. Line manage a HR team (HR Advisor/Officer), including appraisal and supporting personal development.
6. Hold regular employee relations case management review meetings.
7. Provide updates to the HR Business Partner regarding employee relations cases.
8. Communicate sensitive and complex information with tact and empathy.
9. Create, input, and store confidential/sensitive data relating to employee relations.
10. Promote trust support services to staff involved in employee relations matters.
11. Extract, manipulate, and interpret information from the Electronic Staff Records system.
12. Undertake analysis of workforce information and compile reports for HRBP and Divisional Management Teams.
13. Present complex management cases at final stage management hearings.
14. Support managers as part of the investigatory team.
15. Plan and organize complex HR projects, including employee relations cases and organizational change.
16. Assist in the preparation of documentation for employment claims received by the Trust.
17. Work closely with the Trust's in-house Recruitment Team to deliver a high-quality service.
18. Complete stress risk assessments and liaise with the Trust Pensions Team.
19. Coach managers/HR team to improve practices in line with NHS strategies.
20. Standardize HR practices, policies, and procedures across the Trust.
21. Benchmark practices and policies against local NHS and non-NHS organizations.
22. Undertake any other duties commensurate with the job grade.
