Support Worker – Semi-Independent Living (Young People 16-21)

Salary: £23,795.20 - £26,000 per annum
Hours: 40 hours, Full-time – Shift work, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Are you passionate about empowering young people to achieve independence and build brighter futures? We are looking for dedicated Support Workers to join our team in a semi-independent living facility for young people aged 16-21.
This is an exciting opportunity to support young people transitioning into independent adulthood, helping them develop essential life skills while providing emotional and practical support.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide tailored support to young people, encouraging personal development and independence.
2. Assist with daily living skills such as budgeting, cooking, and maintaining a home.
3. Offer emotional support and guidance, promoting positive mental well-being.
4. Support young people with education, training, and employment opportunities.
5. Work closely with families, social workers, and other professionals to ensure the best outcomes.
6. Maintain accurate records and ensure safeguarding policies are followed at all times.
What We’re Looking For:
1. Experience working with young people in a residential or support setting (preferred but not essential).
2. A compassionate, patient, and resilient approach.
3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
4. Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and legislation surrounding young people in care.
5. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
6. A relevant qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care) is desirable.

Salary: £11.44 – £12.5 hourly
