We are seeking an experienced and customer focused individual to join this team in the role of Relationship Director.
This is a Relationship Director role focussed on the High Growth and Innovation sectors around the Oxford market. A relationship management role which inherits an existing high:profile portfolio of exciting high growth, scale:up businesses in the High:Technology, Bio:Tech, and New Economy sectors.
Role holder responsibilities include engaging with our existing and prospective customers specifically in the Oxford Ecosystem, to help them realise their ambitions. There is a broad network of advisors and people that sit around the Oxford market which the role holder will inherit, as well as the opportunity to shape the collaborative working arrangements with HSBC Innovation Banking as it pertains to the Life Sciences space.
Your key aim as a Relationship Director with HSBC will be operate person of influence to our customers with a turnover of between 15M and 350M, where you will also be responsible for customer service excellence to our existing and prospective customers. Given the nature of the role remit you will also target and engage with select pre:revenue and pre:profit businesses to help them on their scale:up journey.
Customer portfolios will consist of both domestic and international relationships and will involve managing all aspects of the relationship including operational and credit risk. To be successful in this role you will create and maintain strong and evolving partnerships internally and externally.

Experience working in a relevant role within Corporate Banking/Business Banking/Financial Services is essential.

Knowledge and understanding of the Oxford/Cambridge high growth and innovation market would be advantageous.

Proven ability in identifying and meeting customer's needs and generating complex lending both monetary and applying appropriate products and solutions to help customers realise their dreams and ambitions.
