Key Responsibilities:
10. Supervise and manage the maintenance and repair of school buildings, grounds, and equipment.
11. Ensure that all facilities are maintained to a high standard, including classrooms, offices, and outdoor areas.
12. Conduct regular inspections of the site to identify maintenance needs and address any issues promptly.
13. Oversee the work of cleaning staff, contractors, and maintenance personnel.
14. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and school policies.
15. Manage and control the use of maintenance equipment and supplies.
16. Handle emergency situations and urgent repairs as required.
17. Coordinate and oversee the setup and breakdown of school events and activities.
18. Maintain accurate records of maintenance work and facility management activities.
19. Liaise with external contractors and service providers to ensure quality and timely completion of work.
Preferred Skills:
20. Strong practical skills and a good understanding of building systems and maintenance procedures.
21. Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
22. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
23. Strong communication skills and a professional attitude.
24. Knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices.
25. Ability to handle multiple tasks and manage priorities effectively.
Requirements:
26. An Enhanced Child DBS or willingness to undertake one (we can help with this).
27. Legal right to work in the UK.
28. Comprehensive CV covering the last 10 years of education/employment history with any breaks explained.
