Ready to maximise your potential?
C&C Group supplies software solutions and services to almost every energy and water company throughout Great Britain, as well as select pharmaceutical companies.
We are at the dawn of an exciting new era with Smart Grids, as well as Market-wide Half Hourly Settlement (MHHS), which will be one of the biggest changes to the electricity industry to date. This means we are on the lookout for exceptional talent to join our team, as we expand our reach as well as our goals.
Technology is the essence of what we do, but our people make us who we are.
What will I get to do?
We are looking for an Energy Operations Specialist to join our Energy Operations Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) Team. The team is responsible for the outsourced management of the back-office functions for a number of our gas (IGT) and electricity (IDNO) clients.
You will assist the team in providing a comprehensive Business Process service, including managing the communications interface with energy suppliers and metering organisations; executing DUoS billing on behalf of our customers; management of data within their respective portfolios; reporting; change management; as well as managing a range of processes to ensure our customers’ licence obligations are effectively met, within industry timetables and SLAs.
You get to work as part of a dynamic team alongside and supported by highly skilled sector experts.
What will my day look like?
Each day will look slightly different and be a chance for you to utilise your current skills and learn new ones. You will get to work on the following tasks and responsibilities:
1. Ensure day to day activities are carried out on time, in the correct manner, and to stringent service levels.
2. Timely and professional resolution of issues and direct liaison with customers, as and when required, to ensure department and customer needs are met.
3. Our customers are IDNO/IGT business customers - not members of the public.
4. Receive and process information whilst communicating effectively across teams and with clients.
5. Monthly service performance reporting, including the production of regulatory reports, analysis of key monthly metrics and providing meaningful insight.
6. Undertake operational acceptance testing of new or revised functionality of supporting IT systems.
7. Proactively monitor and maintain industry data to ensure it is accurate, complete and up to date so that month end billing can be executed.
8. Pre-invoice validation, management of tariff mismatches and ability to identify missing consumption data.
9. Monthly billing of electricity/gas suppliers in respect of Non-Half Hourly and Half Hourly customers.
10. Timely resolution of billing issues and direct liaison with customers as and when required to ensure department and customer needs are met.
11. Reconciliation of invoices where subsequent data is received post billing and determine appropriate actions.
12. Ongoing provision of billing performance reporting, analysis and meaningful insight.
13. Help implement change across system and/or process improvements.
14. Assist with other back office operational activities.
15. Reporting into the Energy Operations BPO Team Leader.
