SEN Specialist Assistant
Do you have experience working with SEN children? Do you have experience with ASD or ADHD?
A lovely primary school in Henleaze is looking for a passionate and dedicated candidate who has experience with SEN/ASD/ADHD to join their team as a SEN Specialist Assistant.
Salary: £83-£95 per day, depending on experience
Schedule: Full-time, Monday - Friday 8.30am to 4pm, Term time only
Location: Bristol - BS9
Your role as SEN Specialist Assistant may include, but not be limited to the following responsibilities:
1. Working with individual learners in the classroom 1:1, or working with individuals or small groups in the Learning Support department.
2. Supporting children's behaviour for learning in the classroom.
3. Helping children with their understanding of the teacher's instructions.
4. Keeping track and recording pupil progress.

The right candidate should have:
1. Graduates who have qualified in Psychology, Counselling or Criminology OR a good education background (GCSE's in Maths and English) plus prior experience as a Teaching Assistant.
2. Experience working with SEN children - for example, youth work, support work, mental health work or SEN in sport.
3. Enthusiasm and passion for making a difference in the lives of children with ASD / ADHD.
4. Resilience and confidence to work with challenging behaviour.
