As a Medical Secretary, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional support to patients and physicians, ensuring a smooth and efficient clinic operation. Manage all aspects of medical secretarial duties and effective clinic management support to include: - Consultants' schedule and appointments - Handling patient enquiries and correspondence - Handling enquiries from referrers, hospitals, and other healthcare practises - Preparing and managing medical reports and letters - Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records - Liaise with patients, consultants, and other clinic users, providing exceptional customer support - Collaborate with consultants to ensure timely delivery of test results and handle correspondence requiring attention. - Perform additional administrative tasks such as filing, scanning, and posting letters. - Identifying areas for practice improvement and efficiency - Assisting in the implementation of new technologies and processes Qualifications - Proven experience as a medical secretary, preferably in cardiology or general practice - Proficiency in MS Office Suite, experience in Cerner and Meddbase would be an advantage - Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal - Attention to detail, ability to maintain confidentiality, and handle sensitive information discreetly - Excellent organisational and time management skills - Ability to work independently and as part of a team - High attention to detail - A caring and sympathetic approach towards patients and colleagues - Flexibility and a willingness to contribute beyond the core responsibilities of the role - Knowledge of Arabic language would be a plus Exemption Status Nonexempt Compensation Detail Education, experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended.
