PRODUCTION MANAGER
Focus: Print Production
Location: Hybrid at Prestbury / Bonnis Hall
Report to: Production Director

We work with some of the UK's most interesting brands and we're looking for a Senior Creative with a copywriting background to come and join us on a 12 month fixed term contract. Armbands optional. Please only apply if you can commit to 3 days in the office.
YOUR ROLE
The Production Manager manages the Print Production for all print media, to include POS, in-store collateral, leaflets and marketing material for seasonal campaigns. They manage the process through post production, retouching, art working, development and distribution (repro or traffic) process.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
All Production Managers in the team will carry out the following responsibilities:
* Ensure that projects are delivered to the highest quality, on time and on budget
* Recognise and nurture good creativity
* Protect & follow the production process
* Carry out everything you do with great attention to detail
* Always be organised
* Have excellent production knowledge, maintaining strong local and international production connections and staying abreast of changes and new talent in the industry
* Build strong working relationships internally and with production partners and clients, with a pleasant, proactive and firm but fair working manner
* Be assertive, in order to keep the client, production partners and internal teams motivated - no matter what unforeseen situation arises
* Have clear written and verbal communication skills
* Be proactive – keeping two steps ahead of everyone else, never making assumptions and always leading
* Proactively anticipate potential problems and formulate smart solutions
* Be flexible to adapt to changing business needs
* Have resilience to always keep the processes flowing
* Ensure all financials are kept up to date: estimates, POs, timesheets, invoices, billing
* Work closely with the team to help each individual succeed
* A good sense of humour and optimistic outlook
* Proficient in usage in understanding and highlighting any issues that may arise and solving
* Print buying and negotiation skills
* May be requested on a shoot set and to have a basic understanding around Photography
* Flexibility to attend site visits and print passing
Your Specific Responsibilities
* Scope and plan of all your specific projects, whilst managing the costs reconciliation of your projects
* Apply knowledge of the Print Production process
* Keep abreast of top companies, celebrated work, talent, techniques and technology around production
* Lead the production process all your specific projects - managing the quality, time and budget
* Understand the requirements and feedback from clients, creative and account management
* Find the best production solution to deliver projects to the highest quality, on time and within budget
Required skills
* Solid experience in Print and Digital Display production
* Good understanding of production techniques
* Proficient in Repro, pre-press, printing and digital distribution
* Experience engaging with studio resources and workflow
* Experience of scoping and planning projects within timescales and budget
Minimum requirements
* Solid print production experience within a production agency
* Extensive retail knowledge
* Proven production management across all print media
* Ability to be flexible with timings
* Be able to work across multiple deliverables and work across a vast amount of sites
* Not be precious, all hands to the deck, be willing to muck in
* Extensive Excel skills
