With significant client demand ahead, we are seeking a manager-level UI/UX designer to lead our platform's design function, enhance our product's usability, and ensure the product meets our client's needs.
The role
As a Data Platform UI/UX Designer, you will take ownership of the design function at Dash, working across our public website, core analytics platform, and marketing efforts. You will lead on user experience, interface design, and data visualisation, ensuring our platform is intuitive, insightful, and optimised for our clients' needs. You will also oversee our junior designers and potentially manage external design resources where required.
This is a high-impact, cross-functional role, working closely with our clients and internally with our product, marketing, sales, and customer success teams. We are looking for someone who thrives in a fast-moving environment, can prioritise competing requests, and is both creative and data-driven in their approach.
What will you be doing?
1. Platform UI/UX & data visualisation
2. Design and refine data-driven interfaces that present insights in an intuitive, actionable way.
3. Develop high-fidelity prototypes and user journeys in Figma to improve the Dash analytics experience.
4. Work with senior client stakeholders to translate business requirements into seamless, functional designs.
5. Conduct user research and test designs with clients to validate usability and effectiveness.
6. Website redesign & branding
7. Lead the ongoing development and maintenance of Dash's website, ensuring an optimised user journey for lead generation.
8. Work within Dash's existing strong identity, ensuring consistency across all digital and print materials.
9. Optimise UI elements for conversion, SEO, and mobile responsiveness.
10. Marketing & sales support
11. Create designs for marketing collateral including promotional videos, release notes, LinkedIn graphics, and thought leadership pieces.
12. Collaborate with the sales team to create compelling slide decks, sales collateral, and customer-facing presentations.
13. Customer success & documentation
14. Assist in creating user documentation, walkthroughs, and training materials for new features.
15. Work closely with existing and prospective clients to design intuitive features that address real-world retail challenges.
16. Team leadership & collaboration
17. Provide mentorship and guidance to junior designers.
18. Work cross-functionally with developers and commercial teams to align design work with broader company objectives.
What will you need to do it?
1. Expertise in Figma (our primary design tool).
2. Experience in UI/UX design, ideally within SaaS, analytics, or data-driven platforms.
3. Strong portfolio showcasing data visualisation, dashboard designs, and user interfaces for complex products.
4. Specific UK retail sector experience or a deep understanding of the challenges faced by retailers.
5. Familiarity with data concepts and designing for data-heavy products.
6. Proven ability to collaborate with senior stakeholders, balancing priorities and advocating for UX best practices.
7. Strong attention to detail and understanding of UX principles for B2B SaaS products.
8. Ability to prioritise multiple workstreams across product, marketing, and customer success.
Skills we'd love to see/Amazing Extras:
1. Understanding of accessibility best practices in design.
2. Experience managing junior designers.
3. Knowledge of conversion rate optimisation (CRO) and A/B testing for web design.
4. Experience with Generative AI.
5. Experience with front-end development (HTML/CSS, React, etc.).
